Our story begins in the basement of our family home in Far Rockaway, Queens New York. This was our sewing epicenter. It was also the primary floor where the fabric of mom's bridal gown trains and cathedral veils could lay freely. As a little girl, I was fascinated by her creations and treasured any opportunity she gave me to place and glue sequins or beading. Seeing the gowns on her brides was like watching a fairytale movie before my eyes. Their joy and gratitude always made me feel so proud that my mom, who made my clothing (an equally made me feel like a princess), made them feel the same way too. There began my passion for bridal and fashion.

Fast forward to 2014 when mom and I created my wedding dress together. I fell in love with fabric stores all over again, and the process we would embark on to create the dress of my dreams. Wasting no strip of lace, tulle or tartan, we braided them together to create special pieces to integrate as a part of the wedding. And once again my passion for creating was sparked again.

Inspired by my travels and living in the UK, my interest in conservation and fair trade, as well as seeing a need for more sustainable fashion in the wedding industry, Verdant was born. Naturally, I decided to ask mom to join me in a journey to see this dream through. She accepted and here we are.

We are a sustainable fashion boutique and full-service bridal salon that provides quality products with a tailored experience. ​Our specialty is providing luxury and eco-chic offerings for the sustainably conscious bride and couple.
